By day, I’m a User Experience Consultant at Crux Collaborative, a local UX consultancy that specializes in complex, transactional, behind-the-login experiences. In this role, I support the team during all phases, including Strategy, Information Architecture, Design, Production Quality Assurance Testing and Usability Testing. I am often the direct point of contact for clients and continue to maintain some projects after they have launched.

I graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science: Visualization. This track exposed me to a broader way of thinking, with classes on Sustainable Design, Creative and Critical Thinking, Project Management, Web Design, Experience Design and Fine Arts.

Outside of work, I have many hobbies and interests. I enjoy being a jack-of-all-trades and dabble in chainmaille, acrylic painting, watercolor, sewing, scratchboard, pastels, charcoal, digital art, and just about anything else catches my eye.

I am an experienced fire dancer and practice poi, fans and hula hoop. I began this journey in high school and the rest is history. Prop manipulation and finding that sense of 'flow' involves constant evolution for me, and adding the element of fire brings a sense of awe to it.

In 2012, I was introduced to Parkour and Freerunning as a way to overcome obstacles, both mental and physical. I took classes at Fight or Flight Academy in Edina, training with some of the most talented athletes in the country. These classes reminded me how to play again and enjoy freedom of movement. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to practice parkour due to a leg injury that never quite got back to 100%.

To stay active after my injury, I picked up rock climbing at Vertical Endeavors. I now climb 3 times a week at the Bloomington facility. Right now, I’m working on getting beyond my 5.9 plateau.
